Meet the Founder

My name is Frances, and I’m so grateful you found us.

Irunmi Naturals began with a simple truth I grew up knowing: our hair deserves care that understands it.

I was raised in West Africa, where textured hair was often misunderstood or labeled as difficult. Growing up, I heard words like rough and unmanageable used to describe hair like mine. But in my home, my mother saw something different. She saw beauty, strength, and heritage.

Together, we began working with traditional African ingredients, herbs, oils, and plant-based butters that had been used for generations to nourish and protect hair.

What started as a personal journey to care for my own hair slowly became something bigger.

That journey became Irunmi Naturals.

The word Irunmi means hair in the Yoruba language.

For us, hair is more than appearance. It is identity, culture, and pride.

Our mission is simple: to create hair care that makes curls and textured hair easier to care for, healthier to grow, and stronger over time.
